Managing Threads
You can manage a thread from the thread list, the thread detail toolbar, or the Message menu.
Thread list hover actions
Section titled “Thread list hover actions”Hover a thread row to show quick actions:
- Star or Unstar, when Starred actions are enabled
- Mark Read or Mark Unread
- Archive, when the thread is in Inbox
- Trash
Thread detail actions
Section titled “Thread detail actions”When a thread is open, the toolbar includes:
- Archive
- Spam
- Trash
- Star or Unstar, when enabled
- Reply
- Reply All
- Forward
- Mark Read or Mark Unread
- Labels
Archive, Spam, and Trash dismiss the thread and return you to the previous list.
Labels
Section titled “Labels”Click Labels in the thread toolbar to open the label picker. The picker includes Inbox and visible user labels.
Select or clear labels, then click Done. SwiftMail updates Gmail and shows an undo banner when the change succeeds.
Archive, Trash, Spam, and label changes can show an undo banner in the lower-left corner.
Click Undo to restore the previous labels. You can also swipe the banner left to dismiss it.
