Selecting and Bulk Actions
Use selection mode to apply actions to multiple threads at once.
Enter selection mode
Section titled “Enter selection mode”Click Select in a message list toolbar. The toolbar changes to show the number of selected threads.
Click Cancel to leave selection mode.
Select messages
Section titled “Select messages”In selection mode:
- Click a row to select or deselect it.
- Shift-click another row to select a range.
- Drag across rows to add or remove a range.
- Press
Command-Ato select every thread on the current page.
Bulk actions
Section titled “Bulk actions”The bottom action bar includes:
- Read
- Unread
- Archive
- Trash
- Star, when Starred actions are enabled
- Labels
SwiftMail shows a progress overlay while a bulk action is running. If only some threads are updated, it reports how many succeeded and how many failed.
Bulk labels
Section titled “Bulk labels”The bulk label picker supports three states:
- Checked labels are on every selected thread.
- Minus labels are on some selected threads.
- Empty labels are on none of the selected threads.
Click a label to change its state, then click Done to apply it.
